The flip book has deep roots - first coming on the scene in September of 1868, when a British printer by the name of John Barnes Linnet patented the form of animation under the name kineograph, or "moving picture." Flip books have long been used by advertisers and marketers - from prizes in Cracker Jack boxes in the early 1900's to novelty giveaways for automobile and snack food companies in the 1960's-70's. Your children will be mesmerized....a moving picture that tells a story and needs sturdy thumbs to operate....WOW!

B.Shackman & Co.,has been in the business of supplying Toys, Cards and Novelties since 1898. Throughout their history the credo of founder, Bertha Shackman has not been forgotten. When asked what made her business so successful she said that she owed her success to three things: Innovation, Quality and Service.

Description

Our dear little tramp is up to his antics again. A fun little flip book of Charlie Chaplin.
He bumps into a lady maybe just a little flirtatiously, she turns around and swats him with her purse....he falls, as she turns away to pick up her purse, he nudges her bottom and she falls down....
Charlie gathers himself up and tips his hat.
All this fun in one little vintage flip book.
Great for a collector or just for fun. In good vintage condition, you can see where a price tag was once attached on the back of the book.
Measures 3" tall and 2" wide.
